 Re: 2009 CbFans Mock
good value for the Eagles Rich...
cblaz, you f-d up my grand plan to have a ready replacement for Ray Lewis...thanks.
Loadholt? Every couple of drafts (remember the Jets and Jeff Lageman?), a team DOES reach in a big way for a player they covet. While this (in all reasonable probability) won't happen, these kinds of moves aren't beyond the realm of possibility.

Yea...sorry Art. I think Rey Maulawhateva is gonna be a star! Denver just remade the face of their D for the next 8 years.

Atlanta
Was all set to take Pettigrew here until the traded for Gonzalez.
Instead, they get to focus on the defensive side of the ball and select DT Peria Jerry.

 Re: 2009 CbFans Mock
Miami was considering Jerry until Mel Wulfy Jr snagged him right in front. The Dolphins need WR, OLB, CB. Parcells is a defense first guy, so I think they wait on WR. This is a pretty tough call, between Darius Butler, Vontae Davis, Everette Brown. I think they go Everette Brown if he's there, too talented a pass rusher to let slide by.
Miami Selects: Everette Brown

 Re: 2009 CbFans Mock
The Ravens want to protect/support their would-be (remains to be seen) franchise QB...with the possible heir apparent(s) to Lewis and Suggs off the board (not to mention Scott), the Ravens select Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina.
The Colts had their eye on Jerry...but Atlanta spoiled their plan. While they need defense, they generally go after the best value on the board. They seriously consider Harvin, but decide not to saddle their new HC with a head case.
So..the Colts reach a bit and take prototypical 3-technique Defensive Tackle Evander Hood from Missouri

 Re: 2009 CbFans Mock
That's a nice pick for Buffalo there, Rich. Pettigrew is a 3 down player.

 Re: 2009 CbFans Mock
Thanks...I try. Still if I'm a Bills fan...I'm not happy about trading my LT for a TE (even a good one) Though adding Oher and Pettigrew (along with TO) would really help them

Thanks Art. It seems to me that Cherilus, Baker and Brown all went earlier than expected last year. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
